Geneva Motor Show: New VW Bus Revealed
Volkswagen unveiled their new “minibus” – the Multivan, at Geneva. The Multivan BlueMotion features substantial improvements in fuel economy for the big 7-passenger mover.
With a 2.0 liter TDI producing 113 bhp and 184 lb-ft of torque, the BlueMotion technology helps deliver a 6.4 liters/100 km fuel-economy rating and CO2 emissions of just 169 g/km. The BlueMotion system on the Multivan includes regenerative braking which supplies energy to charge the battery and a stop/start system.
VW is also planning a 177 bhp Edition 25 variant with 4Motion and the DSG gearbox to celebrate 25 years of all-wheel drive on the Transporter van – the utility version of the model.
